PNG Opposition against same sex marriage
PNG Opposition Leader Don Polye says Papua New Guineans must refuse the idea of same sex marriage in the country, to protect its morality.
Polye says, same sex marriage can break the country, despite arguments of human rights and democracy.
He's blamed the churches of not speaking or preaching against the issue, alleging them of losing focus to commercializing their religious activities.
He says, if morality fails, every thing from governance, government institutions and personal thinking will fail.
Mr. Polye, says young Papua New Guineans must be taught not to accept what is not normal, un-natural and biblical wrong.
"We cannot use that argument of democracy to support things that are not right for humanity, morally not right.
"In the event that you see a man and man and woman and woman kind of a marriage and partnership so called, I call it unnatural, it is not right it is simply wrong.
"Papua New Guinea must be very vary of this.
"Its an area where we need to prepare our young people in terms of providing the position and the guide that Papua New Guinea should go.
"It might by in this country already but its very silent.
"But I would like to said that Papua New Guineas must not accept what is not natural, it is wrong,
"But when you start to accept what is wrong then we'lll start to normalize the unusual and unnatural and wrong things all over this country.
"It would be the start of it is a start of human morality.
"And when morality drops, governance drops, systems of governance drops, institution deteriorated and humans mindset is displaced with what is not right," Mr. Polye said.
