University of Goroka students resume classes
University of Goroka Students have resumed classes today as students were seen attending lectures this morning and getting their timetables for semester two to kick start normally.
The UOG Interim Council will be sworn in this Wednesday and during this time an interim Vice Chancellor of the University will be announced by the interim council.
These were confirmations from the technical official from the Ministry of Higher Education Joseph Sukwianomb today.
Mr Sukwianomb also stated that the investigation team into the UOG Student Unrest have collected their information and have flown down to Port Moresby over the weekend to compile the report which they will then bring it back to Goroka on Wednesday and present it to the Interim council for their perusal.
Furthermore Sukwianomb says that years 1, 2 & 3 had their academic years suspended but only finals years, self sponsored students and post graduate students have continued their studies.
