Court rules in favour of Damaru and Gitua
The Courts have ruled in favor of two top police investigators to continue to do their jobs without interference from the police or any other parties.
Justice Kariko made a ruling yesterday in Port Moresby that Chief Superintendent Mathew Damaru and Chief Inspector Timothy Gitua must be allowed to carry out their investigation on cases that they are working on such as the Paraka Saga as well as investigations into the Secretary for Treasury Mr Dairi Vele, and Police stop investigating them.
Gitua and Damaru were previously stopped on carrying out their investigations when the District Court slapped a Bench Warrant of Arrest on both officers and stopped the two investigators from carrying out their duties.
With this ruling now in favor of the two investigators, hopefully all their outstanding cases be thoroughly investigated and those implicated in the investigations meet the full force of the law.
