PM O'Neill condemns killing in Wabag
Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill, has expressed his disgust at the violent behaviour by individuals in Wabag town over the past two days.
In a statement today, Prime Minister Oneill said this election had been the most peaceful of recent decades and it will not be undermined by a disgruntled few.
He said there is no excuse for the behaviour seen over the past two days, and those behind it will be brought to justice.
Mr Oneill said supporters and members of the disciplined forces must exercise restraint, and not be misled by disgruntled individuals.
He is calling for calm and to allow police to do their work.
The Prime Minister said respect must be given to election officials so they can go about their tasks without fear of violence.
