OFC President steps down
President of the Oceania Football Confederation, David Chung, has resigned from his position effective immediately.
Chung, who has been at the helm of OFC since 2011, took the decision after much deliberation citing personal reasons.
OFC vice President and Fiji Football Association President (FFA), Rajesh Patel, says if given a chance he is ready to take up the vacant position.
“He had his personal reasons and he decided considering his health problems and issues he could not continue so he decided to step down. If the executive committee feels that yes, I can do the job and they have confidence in me then I will definitely take up that position.”
The OFC Executive Committee will meet on Sunday 8 April.
