Madang Deputy Privincial Administrator arrested and Charged by Police

The Madang Deputy Provincial Administrator Corporate Service was arrested and charged yesterday for one count of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice; one count of conspiracy to commit a crime and one count of abuse of office.


Madang Provincial Police Commander Mazuc Rubiang told FM100 News Paul Amera, 51 years of age from Okrumpa, Kainantu District of Eastern Highlands Province was taken in for questioning by the Provincial Fraud squad and then later arrested and charged.

He was released on K3000 police bail.

PPC Rubiang says Mr Amera’s arrest followed on from similar charges of the Provincial Administrator and Governor by police recently.

Mr Amera will appear at the Madang District Court on the 27th of this month for his mention.
