"To my people of Central Province and Goilala, it is with a very heavy heart that I confirm the passing of our Member for Goilala and Minister for Commerce and Industry whilst on official duty in Dubai from health complications. A very strong leader who always had the people of Central Province at heart especially his people of Goilala whom he represented very well.
As our only Central Province State Minster in the Marape Basil Government he has always represented our interest in the National Eexcutive Council and always stood up for Central Province. His passing has now left a huge vacuum in our political front and a huge hole in our Pangu brotherhood and his fellow MP friends.
My depest condolences to his immediate family , his clan and his people of Woitape, Goilala, Central Province, and Papua New Guinea as a whole.
I am grateful, to our Prime Minister Hon James Marape for his leadership and faith in Hon William Samb by entrusting him with a Ministry and a seat in the Marape Basil cabinet that he has served with great distinction.
He was a charismatic leader and this saw him appointed as the Parliamentary representative on our Pangu Executive team that he served tirelessly to help rebuild our Pangu Party and the Pangu brand.
Further funeral arrangements will be announced once finalised.
May he rest in eternal peace and God bless his soul. Bamahuat lau tadigu".
