Port Moresby Police Ready for Polls on Wednesday

Security personnel in the the National Capital District have announced they are ready for the one day polling in the city tomorrow (Wednesday, 6th of July).

NCD Metropolitan Superintendent Gideon Ikumu gave this undertaking today, when reaffirming the security personnel's preparedness.

Mr. Ikumu said they will ensure the polls are conducted smoothly, fairly and transparently without any threats, intimidation and foul play.

He said the respective team leaders have been advised to take charge of the election operations in their respective localities, and ensure all eligible voters cast their votes freely.
