AIR NIUGINI INTO FLEET MODERNIZATION PROGRAM
The National Flag carrier Air Niugini, is continuing its fleet modernization program in a bid to improve its standards in air travel and to prepare for competition.
In a statement, the company said delivery of its latest Boeing 737 to Port Moresby, brings to three, aircrafts, that has gone through the retrofit program.
They said the retrofit program will help modernize the fleets and offer a whole new travel experience which includes improvements to the aircrafts interior cabin, sitting arrangements, entertainment system, toilets and gallies.
In-seat screens have also been installed in both the business and economy class seats, while the business class now has lie-flat seats with lumbar support, foot rests and allows for more leg-room and comfort, and passenger privacy.
Air Niugini says it is committed in rolling out the retrofit program across all its International Boeing fleet, and expect to complete the process by June this year.
