Papua New Guinea Defence Force will have 500 New homes that will be built within the Taurama Defence Force Barracks and a further 700 at Murray Barracks for Members of the force and their families. Work on these homes will begin next year. This follows the launch of the Retirement Benefit Fund Home Scheme recently at the Taurama Barracks. The scheme will allow servicemen to [pay off the homes on reserve land. Defence Commander, Gilbert TOROPO says this work is a milestone for the force and will allow retired servicemen to finally own homes after they finish work.
