Justin Wellington to perform in concert

Pacific artist Justin Wellington will be performing in a concert in support of The Lioness Club of Lae’s life skills training program.

Funds raised at ‘A concert with a cause’ will go towards this valuable program, which reaches out to the women of our province, better equipping them with necessary life skills to successfully handle challenging situations in our ever-changing society, the club said.

Rather than merely teaching information, the life skills training program promotes healthy alternatives to risky behaviour, through activities designed to:

Teach necessary life skills to prevent adolescent tobacco, alcohol, drug use and violence;
Help develop greater self-esteem and self-confidence;
Enable women and teens to effectively cope with anxiety;
Increase their knowledge of the immediate consequences of substance abuse; and
Enhance cognitive and behavioural competency to reduce and prevent a variety of health risk behaviours.

“We welcome any company to be a part of this rejuvenating program as sponsors,” The Lioness Club stated.

“Apart from the opportunity to be associated with such notable community building projects, we also offer you branding rights leading up to the concert and on the night. In addition to the above, complimentary tickets will also be awarded to participating sponsors to send two representatives to attend.”

The sponsorship packages include:

Media support
Purchase of concert wristbands
Lucky door prizes
Complimentary drinks for guests on arrival
Purchase of tickets

The event will be held at the Lae International Hotel on May 13. Presold tickets are going for K80 while tickets at the door are K100 each.

Concert will be organised by Raze Limited and supported by the Lae International Hotel.
