Emotional farewell for senior journalist late Andrew Alphonse
Senior journalist, Andrew Alphonse was described as a cheerful and hardworking scribe who managed to tell the stories of the unheard voices of the Southern Highlands Province, including the new Hela Province.
His sudden death on Friday last week has left a big gap at the Mt Hagen Post Courier Office according to the PC Management, as they paid their last respect to this long time journo in the Printing Press Room at the Post Courier Konedobu Office.
Not only has the late Andrew contributed to the development and social stories that came out of the SHP, but he was a sporting fan who ensured he never missed out on a sporting highlight within the Region.
Present at his funeral this morning in Port Moresby was the MP for Komo Magarima, including people he touched during his career with his story tellings and senior members of the Media Fraternity.
