Opposition MPs storm out of Parliament chambers
The Opposition MPs led by its leader Don Pomb Polye just walked out of Parliament Chamber due to discrepancies in the Budget papers.
Of those walked out included former Prime Ministers Sir Julius Chan and Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare.
More than K21 billion Budget was about to be passed, something which the Opposition described as fraudulent, dishonest and untransparent whilst the Treasurer's speech mentioned a budget of more than K12.9 billion.
The Opposition has vowed to take this matter to the Supreme Court to prevent the budget's implementation next year.
The government used its numerical muscle this evening to get the controversial Budget passed without the Opposition.
