TFF delays affecting boarding schools
Boarding schools around the country are really feeling the pinch of delays by the O'Neill Government in releasing TFF monies as much as Day schools.
Iarowaro Secondary School is one such school been affected by the poor delivery of the government policy on free education.
Principal Andrew Moava said this year the government paid out a low K112, 000 which is lesser than what they required.
He said their first batch of payment was supposed to be K360, 000.
Mr. Moava said the monies they received cannot cater for their 740 boarding students.
He is now pleading to the Education Department to set it's priorities right in allocating sufficient funds for boarding schools or better, make timely payments so schools don't suffer.PNGFM
