Parkop in healthy lead

Sitting Governor of the National Capital District, Powes Parkop, maintains a strong lead in the Regional Seat count.
As at count 263 this morning, the Social Democratic Party leader polled 29, 494 votes.
Independent candidate, Andy Bawa, sits on the second spot with 16,045 another Independent candidate, Michael Kandiu, is on third with 12,593 votes.
Election Manager, Alwin Jimmy, told NBC News this morning, they will try to complete all North East boxes by today, and move onto the Moresby South boxes.
Mr. Jimmy said, he hopes to start the elimination process this weekend.
