Tongan church minister dies during introduction to parish

A Tongan church minister died suddenly while he was being introduced to his new parish in Rotorua, New Zealand over the weekend.

Rev. Siaosi Lelenoa was speaking during a kava ceremony when he suddenly collapsed and died on Saturday, a source told Kaniva News.

The minister at the Siasi O’ Tonga Church has received his confirmation from the church conference last month to lead the church in Rotorua.

Rev Lelenoa was previously based at the Pukekohe church.  Kaniva News
