Basil denies joining government

Pangu Pati leader and Member for Bulolo Open Sam Basil has denied reports on social media that he and 9 of his party members have defected from the Opposition to join the government ranks.
Mr. Basil lashed out at the reports saying they were only rumours and called on the media to respect proper processes involved if their move was confirmed.

“If we were actually leaving the Opposition to join government, we would call a conference with the media and make our intentions known. Why do we believe all that is said on social media?” said Basil.
Mr. Basil expressed his disappointment at the false rumours all over face book and confirmed that none of it is true.
