Businesses Houses in Port Moresby warned of Security Guards in Police Uniforms

Business Houses in the Nation’s Capital and Central have been warned not to have security guards manning shops with police uniforms or face arrest and charged for impersonating police officers.

That’s the warning from NCD/Central Commander ACP Donald Yamasombi after Police officers from Internal Affairs Unit arrested a security guard this week at Gordons for impersonating police officers.

“It is such that someone was in police uniform and provided security to shop or doing security job in police uniform.

He was confronted by our internal investigators, taken down to head office and interrogated and charged for impersonation,” Yamasombi said.  Statement
