Member for Menyamya Open dies
Menyamya MP Thomas Pelika has died at the Angau Memorial Hospital in Lae after a short illness.
Mr. Pelika is currently serving a third term in office, after winning the Menyamya Seat in 2017 under the PANGU Party ticket.
He was appointed Assistant Speaker, Chairman of the Law and Order Parliamentary Committee and is also a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Laws and Acts and Subordinate Legislation's, Emergency, Public Works and Standing Orders in the Marape-Steven Government.
Mr. Pelika first entered the 5th National Parliament from 1992 to 1997 and was appointed Minister for Environment and Science.
