Miss Samoa Fonoifafo Nancy McFarland Seumanu crowned new Pacific Islands Queen


Miss Samoa Fonoifafo Nancy McFarland Seumanu is now the new Miss Pacific Island Queen. She was crowned last night at the Stanley Hotel in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

Seumanu, who is a public nurse by profession, was supported by the Samoan delegates at the crowning ceremony.
Miss Samoa won the Best Traditional Wear and Best Interview categories.
The other regional contestants who participated were from American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, Marshall  Islands, Nauru, PNG, Solomon Islands, Tahiti, Tonga, Tuvalu and Wallis and Futuna.
Miss Tonga was 4 runner up while Miss Tahiti, Miss PNG and Miss Solomon Islands were 3 2 and 1
runner ups respectively.
Samoa has also secured the rights to host the next Miss Pacic Islands Pageant in 2020
