Public Servants in PNG urged to stay Neutral
PNG Departmental heads, Provincial Administrators, heads of public authorities, and public servants have been urged to ensure services are not disrupted during the current political climate.
Secretary for the Department of Personnel Management, Taies Sansan said all public servants must be at their workplace as normal and be loyal and committed to the government of the day.
In a circular instruction issued this week, Ms. Sansan said public servants' allegiance is bound by the virtue of the Public Services Management Act and the General Orders.
The DPM Secretary also encouraged all public servants to remain neutral and not involve in political activities.
Ms. Sansan warned that public employees that create disharmony or interrupt the normal working arrangements will be disciplined by their agency heads.
