FIFA World Cup Qualifier : PNG Kapuls beat Fiji 2-1, progresses to to semi finals
The Papua New Guinea national team, the Kapuls have beaten Fiji 2- 1 in the FIFA World Cup qualifier in Qatar. The Kapuls will now play the Solomon Islands in the semi-final.
PNG Kapuls coach, Marcos Gusmao, says the team is looking forward to playing the Solomon Islands in the semi-finals of the Oceania Qualifiers in Doha, Qatar.
PNG advanced into the semi-finals, after defeating Fiji 2 goals to 1 early this morning, (Friday 25/03/22).
Speaking after the match from Doha, Gusmao says he believes PNG has a chance to get into the finals and he urges the supporters back home to believe in the boys who are playing really hard.
