Kina Bank unveils New Digital Banking Hub at Boroko Post Office
Port Moresby, May 22, 2024 - Kina Bank has marked a significant milestone in its digital banking journey with the inauguration of its second Digital Banking Hub at the Boroko Post Office. The launch, which took place on Wednesday, aims to revolutionize banking accessibility for customers residing in key areas of Port Moresby.
Strategically situated to cater to residents of Boroko, Korobosea, Taurama, 5 Mile, China Town, and Manu Autoport, the new Digital Banking Hub represents a leap forward in banking convenience and innovation.
Roppe Uyassi, CEO of Kina Bank PNG, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, "The digital banking hub is cashless and will provide a range of services such as opening of Kina Bank accounts, issuing of visa debit cards, WhatsApp banking and internet banking registrations, attend to customer enquiries, and conduct education and awareness of Kina Bank products & services."
Uyassi also highlighted the added convenience for customers, revealing, "Our customers will also be able to apply for personal loans directly from the Digital Banking Hub."
In addition to thanking Post PNG for their partnership, Uyassi unveiled ambitious expansion plans, announcing, "The bank plans to open more Kina Digital Banking Hubs in Port Moresby and also in Lae to bring banking closer to Kina customers."
Zuke Kot, Chief Financial Officer of Post PNG, reciprocated the appreciation, emphasizing the mutual benefits of the collaboration. "The launch of the Digital Banking Hub paves a new milestone and will benefit Kina Bank customers through easy access to cashless banking services, faster processing time and better customer experience," Kot remarked.
Highlighting the synergies between the two entities, Kot elaborated, "Through our complementary service offering, this will mutually benefit both Kina Bank and Post PNG by driving foot traffic for customers and open up doors for selling our services and products to our customers."
