PNG Air Affected by Puma Energy Fuel Supply Issues

PNG Air has announced disruptions to its flight schedules across the country due to ongoing fuel supply issues caused by Puma Energy. The airline expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to customers and the traveling public, citing the continued rationing of Jet A1 fuel by Puma Energy as the reason for these disruptions.

Puma Energy has been restricting fuel supplies throughout PNG Air’s network, impacting the airline's operations. In some cases, the situation has been exacerbated by the unavailability of Puma staff to refuel aircraft, as was experienced in Buka over the weekend. PNG Air extended apologies to the customers affected by these interruptions.

The airline also informed passengers and the public that it will not be responsible for accommodating disrupted passengers in the event of further flight delays or cancellations due to fuel supply issues, as the situation is beyond its control. PNG Air emphasized that passengers would receive continuous updates regarding their flights, with the latest information available on the airline's social media platforms.

PNG Air's Call Centre will be proactively reaching out to customers who have purchased tickets for both inbound and outbound travel to provide further advisories as necessary. The airline expressed sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused and thanked passengers for their understanding during this challenging period.

For more information, customers are advised to contact the PNG Air Call Centre at 16111 (Digicel toll-free) or 7411 2644 (Telikom).
