Somare moves to middle bench

Grand chief Sir Michael Somare and the father of the nation is moving to the middle benches.

The former Prime Minister dropped the bombshell in the Parliament House today announcing that by the next Parliament session (February 10th) he will move to the middle benches or the Opposition.

His move has sparked a thread of thousands commenting on facebook and left some politicians shocked.

Sir Michaels reason to move is believed to be over the K3 billions UBS loan.

However he gave a personal explanation on all issues that were being talked about in the press and social media.

He singled out the media issue of him stepping aside when he was referred to the Prosecutor and eventually tribunal.

Attempts to speak to Sir Michael after Parliament were unsuccessful has he was husked away to attend his court case.

This makes him the third MP to move out of government this week after Kandep MP Don Polye and the Governor for Eastern Highlands moved out.
