Port Moresbys' Kookaburra Flyover bridge completed

The 600 meters long  Kookaburra Flyover bridge  in Port Moresby was completed on the 29th May, 2015. The flyover will be officially  opened to  the public tomorrow  Sunday  (31/05/2015). Contractor, Hawkins will officially hand over the bridge to the Government and people of Papua New Guinea . Dignitaries from the Government including Prime Minister Peter O'neill are expected to  officiate the opening ceremony.

The ceremony will start at 10: 00 am in the morning and the public will be allowed to walk on the flyover before it will be opened to traffic in the afternoon.

The flyover is first of its kind in the Pacific apart from Australia and New Zealand. It has been completed just in time before  the 2015 Pacific Games begins.
