Governor Yoto Wants Western Province split
Papua New Guinea's Western Governor Taboi Awi Yoto says he wants the province split into two, for better management and service delivery.
Governor Awi Yoto said the province’s huge landmass is among other obstacles preventing service delivery to the sparsely isolated communities.
Mr Awi Yoto says a split will also allow adequate representation of people from this region in Parliament, by creating several more open electorates especially in the Nomad and Lake Murray areas.
