Botten still Oil Search Managing Director
Peter Botten is still the Managing Director of Oil Search PNG.
A spokesperson for the company told NBC News, reports that Mr Botten has resigned are 'completely false.'
“Some online posts have incorrectly associated the Universal Bank of Switzerland Loan matter with Chairman Rick Lee’s comments at the OSL's recent Annual General Meeting, that “the Board is well-advanced on the succession plan for Peter.”
“The two are unrelated.
“Mr Botten has successfully led Oil Search for more than 25 years and it is a necessary course of action, for any organization, to ensure succession plans are in place for the top leadership role - a process which commenced some time ago,” the spokesperson said.
