PNG Govt and ABG in Unity Walk
Leaders of both the Papua New Guinea National and the Autonomous Bougainville governments will walk Buka Town this morning in a march symbolizing unity between the two governments.
The start of the prime minister's visit to the region yesterday, had already been successful, with a National Executive Council approval of a billion kina economic funding, and adoption of James Marape's address into the Bougainville House of Representatives calling for a renewal of trust in the national government.
Leaders of the two legislatures will join hands in the unity walk this morning at 10 o'clock Bougainville Standard Time.
The walk will be from the Peace Park up to Club Oasis, where the Joint Supervisory Body meeting will take place.
Prime Minister James Marape will continue his visit to Arawa and Buin after the JSB meeting.
He will be accompanied by President John Momis.
