Foreigner dies in failed Robbery attack in Port Moresby
A Bangladeshi National is dead and another is injured following an armed robbery at G- Mart Shopping Center at Port Moresby's North West suburb of Gerehu .
According to Police, five men pretending to be company workers dropping off invoices held up the shop around midday today.
Police sources say nothing was taken from the store as a result of quick action from nearby Gerehu Police officers.
One of the suspects was captured and taken to Gerehu Police Station but later released.
The prime suspects are known to some security guards and police will make arrests soon.
Police closed of the area,with the public packed at the vicinity eager to get a glimpse of what had happened.
Metropolitan Superintendent Perou N'Drannou is expected to release information regarding the hold up any time soon.
