PNG PM Marape responds to O'Neill's Statement

PNG Prime Minister James Marape has responded to statements  raised by Member for Ialibu-Pangia and PNC Party leader Peter O'Neill.

Statement
Good morning all and especially my former boss who has responded to a fb post I did last week Thursday.

By the way I use FB because its authentically my words as I see and write instead of second person writing for me.

So I read a release by my good brother politician Hon PO on his view that I am grandstanding on FB on UBS COI and him trying his best to link UBS deal with IPIC deal.

He was responding to my fb post last Thursday which never named him or any company and my former boss took offense with me going to fb on these matter.

May I remind him, that all public officials stand under scrutiny of decisions we make, and history will judge us, as it is now under this COI for UBS transaction.

The COI is established with no preconceived guilt on anyone or organizations but to establish on all of us involved including companies, bankers and non leader individuals any criminal intend or offense.

And as I said then and I repeat again here, the country will gain in restitution actions the country will pursue after the COI is completed.

By the way UBS deal and IPIC deal has clear distinctions and to establish that distinction and demarcation and that’s why IPIC is included in the TOR of the COI.

This investigation is bigger then you ( PO) and me (JM), it is about our children’s country. It’s about the how we as leaders sit in the sanctum of the seat of government deciding by the stroke of pen how millions of Kina flow into directions that has minimal positive effect on majority of PNG citizens.

My friend needs to remind himself how he ran his cabinet but due to decorum I will not at present release informations here.

After release of all information that COI demands, will I be happy to make detail statements to public and of course through FB too.

By the way PO, my post on this matter last week did not name you personally or Oil Search Ltd. You have named yourself and Oil Search in your press release. Don’t point fingers brother!

And in my view there is a clear distinction between IPIC and UBS. The country will know and its coming!

JMPM!

PS: my earlier release had many typo errors in haste to release this post whilst on my way to work this morning. Had to do corrections over break.

My apologies for too many mistakes in the earlier post, and those who have down loaded to share please correct your posts with this one.
