PNG students welcomed at Townsville College

Papua New Guinea students attending St Patricks College were warmly welcomed at a college in Townsville, Australia.

On Friday 5 September, 17 PNG students attending St Patrick’s College were among a group of international students who were welcomed to Townsville in a special ceremony at the City Council chambers.

The Ceremony was organized by Study Townsville, a group which supports all International students.

The Townsville City Council hosted the event and the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Vern Veitch, presented a special commemorative certificate to each student. 

Councillor Veitch attended the College’s Mercy Day Mass the previous day, and was delighted to have the opportunity to discuss the event with the girls.
