PNG AIR to continue provide best air service
Transportation is important for any form of development or services and that is why PNG Air continues to improve and making sure their air service reaches most of the people.
This is the reason why the airliner purchased a brand new aircraft, the ATR- 72 600 series to continue their service through catering for more passengers to travel.
Speaking at a small but significant welcoming ceremony at Kagamuga International Airport at Mt. Hagen yesterday after the plane made its inaugural flight to the province, the Director of PNG Air, Mr. Watt Kiddie said PNG Air knows the importance of air transportation, especially in creating business, service and development. As such they will continue to improve on their service.
Earlier the company’s board and management said from the beginning, the company was all about creating greater connections for all Papua New Guineans.
“PNG Air is all about people and that will be reflected in everything we do. We are committed to creating more opportunities for people to travel, making it easier to book and pay for your travel and improving our service” said Muralee Siva, the airliner’s CEO.
Meantime, after Mt. Hagen, the new aircraft also made its inaugural flight to Wewak where it touched down to another big welcome from the Sepik people with traditional dances and songs. It was a big relief for passengers who will be traveling with PNG Air because now they get to travel on a plane that has more space, plus speed.
The new aircraft carries 72 passengers compared to the old Dash 8s that carry around 36 passengers only. The new ATR will be joined by six more by next year.
