Port Moresby Govornor Parkop wants PNG Govt's intervention on Youths
Port Moresby Governor Powes Parkop says the national government must come up with different interventions and mechanisms aimed at keeping youths in the city busy.
Parkop says the national level needs to wake up and come up with real programs that the National Youth Development Authority and Council will work with in order to address national concern.
Parkop says the population in the country is also growing at a high rate of 3.1% and is among the highest in the world.
Parkop wants to see Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) better managed because that is one of the mechanisms that continue to support young people at the national level.
He would also like to see other short term skills trainings and sports become a real viable program and pathway for young people. FM100/PNG Today
