In April, Tiko-Motoro participated in the International Conference on Agriculture Software and Information Management held in Australia. The conference provided her with valuable insights into how data-driven solutions can revolutionize traditional farming methods.
“The conference underscored the transformative potential of harnessing data to improve agricultural practices,” Tiko-Motoro said. She emphasized that the exposure to various agricultural software applications highlighted innovative solutions for streamlining farm operations.
According to Tiko-Motoro, these solutions are pivotal in enhancing productivity, managing risks, and optimizing overall farm efficiency. “Exploring agricultural software unveiled various innovative solutions to streamline farm operations, enhance productivity, and mitigate risks,” she noted.
Back at Unitech, Tiko-Motoro is now poised to leverage this newfound knowledge to enhance research and extension services. Her goal is to refine crop and livestock management practices, promote sustainability, and boost e-commerce opportunities for agricultural products in PNG.
Tiko-Motoro’s commitment reflects a broader effort to modernize agricultural practices in the region, ensuring that PNG's farming sector can meet contemporary challenges and capitalize on technological advancements.
Her work aims to not only improve farm management but also to foster a more sustainable and efficient agricultural industry in PNG, paving the way for future innovations and growth.
